                            Shivasamudra is a small town in the Mandya District of the state of Karnataka, India. it’s located on the banks of the river Kaveri, that forms here the boundary to the Chamarajanagar District, and is the location of one of the primary Hydro-electric Power stations in Asia, that was discovered in the year 1902.  The Shivanasamudra Falls is on the Kaveri stream when the stream has wound its means through the rocks and ravines of the Deccan highland and drops off to make waterfalls. This is due to the Kaveri stream itself rending some kilometers to the south into western and eastern branches. The western branch ends up in the twin waterfalls of Gaganachukki, whereas the eastern branch leads to the Bharachukki falls.
