Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum History:
The museum was instituted as a part of the centenary celebrations of the engineer-statesman Sir M. Vishvesvaraya (1861-1962). it had been handed over to the Council of Scientific and Industrial analysis (CSIR) in 1962. In 1978 once the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) was designed, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological repository became its southern headquarters.
